The IKO Metals factory is the world’s largest production facility for pressed metal roofing. On an area of over 22,000 m² in Tongeren, Belgium, tiles for the subsidiary brands Metrotile, Gerard, Decra, and Tilcor are produced, which we have been supporting since 2014.

The IKO Metals marketing team planned an Open Day at the factory and asked us to develop corporate branding for the production and service areas, as well as promotional materials for the event.

Wall of fame

The history of IKO Metals’ brands begins in 1957 and includes discoveries, innovations, and technological revolutions. The wall of fame is located at the center of production so that every factory worker can feel connected to the legendary history they continue.

Marketing materials for the Open Day

Banners, leaflets, stickers for gifts, outdoor and online branding for a campaign aimed at attracting local communities to explore the largest construction manufacturing facility in the region.

Challenge
All materials had to comply with brand guidelines, which consisted only of the logo and colors. Therefore, we had to create a stylistic concept almost from scratch. The new style had to maintain visual unity across very diverse applications while conveying the brand’s values.

As a result, we were able to find the right design tone, which, even after the completion of branding work and the Open Day, continues to live on in IKO Metals’ corporate and marketing materials.
